St John is more than NZ's National Ambulance Service, there are multiple services and product lines we provide in the Community Health Services and Commercial business areas across NZ.
At St John we're on a journey towards becoming a truly integral part of New Zealand's community health care solution of the future. The Vision for St John is enhanced health and wellbeing for all New Zealanders.
We are run and staffed by people who are passionate about serving their communities and caring for fellow New Zealanders. We are a charity and have a volunteer ethos, with paid and volunteer members working side by side.
St John offers a variety of career opportunities across Ambulance, Community Health Services, our commercial businesses, and our corporate offices.

Volunteering has always been the backbone of the organisation, beginning with the first ambulance brigade in Christchurch in the 1800s and continuing today.
Our team of over 8,000 volunteers work side by side with staff in a range of roles across medical services and ambulance crews, St John Youth groups, caring community support and behind the scenes too.
As a St John volunteer, you will be supported throughout your journey, you'll learn new skills, make lifelong friends, attend social events and access St John benefits, you'll work with one of New Zealand's most trusted charities and most importantly, give something back to your community!
