We're on the lookout for a motivated On the Go Representative to service Wellington tradies.

Are you ready to take ownership of sales and service delivery for this CARTERS branch on wheels?  Then you might just be the person we've been looking for.

Let the road and this role take you places

Each day you'll visit building sites chat to customers while delivering key building products and consumables they need to keep their sites running smoothly.

You'll learn heaps about building and be able to anticipate needs at each stage of the construction process, so it's the perfect stomping ground to develop the skills needed to become an Account Manager with CARTERS as you progress.

If you love sales, then here's the opportunity to manage your own P&L, take full accountability for inventory and replenishment, plus all sales generated, whether they're on account or cash purchases via the mobile EFTPOS terminal.

About the role

Using your sales skills, you'll take ownership for your On-the-Go van as you:

  • Provide great customer service by scheduling sales calls, with full accountability for your budget
  • Maximise sales opportunities by building strong relationships with customers and developing new leads
  • Develop an understanding of build schedules to pre-empt what materials customers require
  • Take ownership of your van's product merchandising to make sure it looks the part and manage your own inventory

About you

As our On-the-Go Representative, you'll get the green light in this role because you have the following skills, experience and values:

  • A clean full driver's licence is essential
  • Great initiative to engage with customers and fulfil their needs
  • Competent admin and computer skills will be key to success in this role
  • Effectively manage priorities, inventory and all sales transactions.
  • A self-motivated team player with proven sales experience or passion for all things building
