Merchandising in Supermarkets, Mass retailers, Hardware & Interior finishes stores offering a wide variety of merchandising to keep you busy and on your toes

Position 1 - Approx 5 to 9 hours per week merchandising in a supermarket and mass retail stores in Blenheim, this is daytime work.

Approx schedule: Monday 4.5hrs & Thursday 3hrs. Hours fluctuate due to client/store schedules. There can also be on top of the normal work - Store Relays, Cover for other local merchandisers, Display Builds and other additional work.

Position 2 - Approx 5 to 9 hours per week merchandising in a supermarket and mass retail stores in Blenheim, this is daytime work.

Approx schedule: Monday 4.5hrs & Thursday 3hrs.

Early Morning starts (Between 4am-6am, depending on workflow) required for Supermarket on Monday, Wednesday & Friday and then flexibility to complete other jobs throughout the week - Monday to Friday when stores are open.

There can also be on top of the normal work - Store Relays, Cover for other local merchandisers, Display Builds and other additional work.

About the interior finishes merchandising – Replenishing (restock & displaying) colour samples and there will also be a few occasions throughout the year when there will be a total range change to be completed, so there will be a lot more work involved.

You will be calling on local interior design stores, plus visiting architects, kitchen designers, building companies, hardware stores etc.

Hardware, Mass Retail & Supermarket merchandising – working in these stores merchandising a wide range of products. A typical call could include:

· Restocking shelves, ensuring products are displayed neatly and correctly

· Building and setting up display stands & maintaining display stands

· Changing or rotating POS (point of sale) placements, Shelf layout changes (relays)

· Liaising with clients and store staff 

Some Supermarket work is required to be completed before the store opens and some Supermarket work, Mass Retails & hardware stores is during the day and the interior finishes work can be done any day during the standard working week – providing flexibility 

Hours vary each week as generally any display builds, display maintenance, special tasks will have additional time & due to clients call frequencies (weekly, fortnightly, monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly)

These positions would suit someone looking for just a few hours work each week or needs flexibility to fit around life and can take on extra work to support the wider merchandising team in the area for covering leave and during the heavier workflow times.

We require someone who is:

• Confident & well presented
• Is fit and healthy, as some heavy lifting is involved
• Excellent time management skills and tech savvy for online reporting
• Has a reliable vehicle, with space for carrying samples, and small space at home to store sample stock
• Has a clean & current restricted or full driver’s license
• Able to work autonomously PLUS be able to communicate back to your HOOP team
• Lives in, or within a 10km radius of Blenheim
