Job Description

About the role:

  • 3 month contract (immediate start)
  • Excellent hourly rate
  • Devonport

Use your engineering background and Health & Safety experience together with your strong communication skills to deliver training on safe systems of work. The training role is in place to reduce hazards and risk while work is being undertaken on a major project.

The role includes:

  • Delivering training to provide a clear understanding around the process, use and completion of JSEA's to ensure hazards, controls and isolation requirements are identified.
  • Communicate the requirements around the Lock Out Tag Out process.
  • Work with the Training advisor to clarify and resolve questions and issues that arise with JSEA's being completed.
  • Any administration tasks associated with delivering the JSEA training.

Skills + Experience:

For this role you will need:

  • A relevant Qualification in Health & Safety.
  • At least 3 years work experience in Health & Safety/Training in a high risk industry (such as oil & gas or aviation).
  • A good knowledge of safety processes and working to best practice.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to complete documentation to a high standard.
  • Two verbal references.
  • Have a clean criminal record.

Pay + Benefits:

  • Excellent rates (for PAYE or GST contractors)
  • JSEA specific training will be provided

They undertake major projects for the refurbishment of Naval vessels and offer a range of short and long term project based contracts.
