Wellington City Council serves the residents and businesses of Wellington, and the Parking Services team play an important part by supporting Wellington City Council's long-term plan and vision around transport.
As a Parking Officer, you will promote compliance with city parking regulations and manage the turnover of parking space, while easing the safe movement of people and goods within Wellington City.
Our Parking Officers connect with the public on a regular basis and spend most of their time outdoors in and around the city. On any given day you can cover up to 20km of city streets and parking areas.

This is a permanent (up to 40 hours/week) role working on a rotating roster of varying start/finish times (between 6.30am - 10.30pm) including some Friday late shifts and weekend shifts, to meet the needs of the City.
Please note part time hours would be considered. Ideally will be for the weekends and late/evening shifts starting at 1pm.
Also, for the 2 weeks induction/ training period, we need people to commit to full-time hours starting from 8am - 5pm.
You will need to at least hold a Restricted driver's licence to be considered.
Applicants must be prepared to undergo pre-employment health assessment and drug and alcohol screening if short-listed and must be eligible to work in New Zealand.
