We are Rydges Auckland, a beautiful 4.5-star 267 room hotel located in the heart of Auckland CBD We are now looking for an energetic, creative individual to take up the part-time/casual role of Bar attendant
You will oversee our refurbished bar and rooftop terrace. This role also involves assisting the Bar Manager in any Beverage offerings from restaurant dining to Conference events, The ideal candidate is someone who has the ability to engage with our guests is second nature.
The Role and Your Skills
Can take control of all beverage aspects of the operations
Overlook all beverage offerings from A la carte and Conference
Creative menu planning
Create a training calendar to upskill his/her staff
Assist the Beverage Manager to improve operational standards.
Develop initiatives to assist in continuously raising the team's expertise in all the Food & Beverage outlets, utilizing all your talents to train & mentor team members
Hands-on decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Experience in a Food & Beverage management role is a must.
A great understanding of New Zealand wines and service
Proficient in high-end cocktail making and knowledge of high-end spirits and liqueurs
Must have a sound knowledge of New Zealand's liquor licensing, laws and regulations.
Outstanding service & leadership skills
A passion to meet and exceed customers' expectations is highly desirable.
Flexibility to work shifts across the 7-day week including early mornings and late evenings.
Duties also include maintaining stock levels, stock takes, and costings.
