The Place

Rydges Auckland is a 4.5 star 267 room hotel located in the heart of the Auckland CBD. We invite you to join our front desk team, drive excellence in guest service, perform shift operations and create memorable experiences!

About the Role

You will be mainly supporting the front office team in day-to-day operations as well as working on projects that will upskill the team and benefit the hotel as a whole.  This role suits somebody that is continuously willing to go beyond their checklist, learn more and strives for excellence within the team. Your rapport with guests and clients is outstanding and you have a proven record for excellent feedback. This also includes supporting F&B, Reservations, Maintenance, and Housekeeping whenever required.

The successful candidate needs to posses the following experience and skills:

- Minimum 2-3 years experience as Duty Manager or Assistant Front Office Manager or similar management experience in hospitality.

- Organization skills with strong verbal and written communication

- A current Manager's Certificate, First Aid Certificate and a full driver's license preferred. 

- You have a working knowledge of OPERA Hotel Property Management System

- Training, managing and coaching experience.

- Understanding of the legislation regarding Health & Safety, Fire Safety, NZ Licensing and Employment Laws.

- You are able to work shiftwork which involves various shifts including evenings, weekends and overnight if required, on a rotating roster of 40 hours minimum.

- Ability to multitask, reliable, punctual with a can do positive attitude that consistently delivers exceptional guest experience.
