The Grand by SkyCity is an award winning 5 star Hotel which is beautifully furbished, it has over 300 luxurious guest rooms and it has a welcoming feel the minute you walk in to it.  Before you walk in you are welcomed by our Commissionaire who will assist you with your car, luggage or directions to the best eateries in town.

A bit about the role

We pride ourselves on making our guests feel very special, assisting with any request big or small and generally being there for them to ensure their stay with us is one they will have great memories of.

The Commissionaire role is a vital role within our front office team.  The person in this position is one of the first the guests meet so as they say "first impressions count". 

• Meet and greet guests
• Assist with valet parking their cars
• Ensure the Hotel courtyard is managed so cars are parked promptly, taxi's moved on if not needed
• Guidance given around local attractions, restaurants etc 

Who am I?

• Someone who is motivated by seeing people enjoy themselves
• Holder of a full NZ drivers licence and ideally someone who can drive a manual transmission
• Physically fit to stand for long periods of time
• Enjoy working as part of a fun, hardworking front office team
• Able to work across various shifts between 7:00am - 11:30pm Monday - Sunday (weekend work is required)
