Linux Automation Experience

4Technology provides innovative automation and technology solutions mainly to Food & Beverage manufacturers and processes. We are currently looking for an experienced Automation Technician with Linux experience to join our team on a part-time contract basis. This role will be focused on supporting our clients with their setting up and maintaining our Linux-based systems. The Linux based system primary role is interfacing between automated controllers and backend systems and databases.

Responsibilities:

• Implement and maintain linux communication systems and processes, based on standardised systems and software.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing automation systems and Linux infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional development and support staff to develop and deploy integrated automation solutions.
• Create and maintain documentation related to automation processes and Linux-based systems.
• Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems preferably Ubuntu.
• Familiarity with networking, system administration, and security best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work outside regular business hours, if required.
