About the role

Hato Hone St John has a need for an experienced Automotive Technician to join their Auckland - Botany workshop team.

This role is very different from any other automotive technician role out there. You will form part of a team of highly motivated and experienced technicians servicing the Hato Hone St John fleet. To be successful in this role you will be fully qualified, holding an automotive trade certificate / NZQA level 4 or industry equivalent. Vehicle specific training will be provided.

• Ensure that all fleet vehicles are serviced and repaired to a high standard in accordance with the preventative maintenance program
• Actively work to meet agreed service levels with all internal business units. 
• On-call roster between technicians, overtime pay rates apply

About you

• Experience and technical knowledge of working on both light and heavy vehicles (note: Ambulances are classified as heavy vehicle as they are over 3.5 tonnes).
• Fully qualified, holding an automotive trade certificate or proof of completed apprenticeship
• Current Drivers Licence and clean driving record
• Auto electrical certification and or welding experience desirable
• Resilient and positive outlook
• Ability to work unsupervised and also to work and contribute as a part of a team
