Self-Storage Duty Manager (Part Time)

Safestore Containers is a New Zealand family owned and operated self-storage company with self-storage facilities in Onehunga, Glendene and a third facility opening soon in East Tamaki.

The Self Storage Duty Manager will play a key role in the Operations, Customer Service & Maintenance of our self-storage facilities. The position is part-time 16 hours a week (Sunday & Monday – 9am to 5.30pm) with the opportunity for additional days as required.

As Duty Manager you will assist with the day-to-day operations of running the facilities. These include answering sales enquiries, taking payments, conducting security checks, and other administrative activities.  You will also be required to undertake light maintenance and cleaning tasks.

Reporting to the General Manager you will:

•                      Assist in the daily running/operations of the company’s three storage facilities.

•                      Have an enthusiasm for customer service.

•                      Have a hands-on approach to practical work duties.

•                      Have high integrity and ability to work independently.

Ideally you will have a "Hands-On, Can Do" attitude and will enjoy engaging with all sorts of people to help them solve their storage needs. You will be computer literate and have a full NZ Driver’s License. Because of the nature of the position, it is preferable you are physically fit and enjoy an element of physical work as part of your daily activities.

Our experience is that this position is better suited to a more mature candidate who is happy working independently. The days of work are Sunday and Monday – 9am to 5.30pm

You will be based at our Onehunga Self-Storage facility. Direct self-storage experience would be an advantage but not essential as training will be provided.
