About the role:
Our client requires a confident, mature person to act as a Sentry/Customer Service person on a large marine project. You will need to be reliable and process-driven and happy working with people to ensure they adhere to the rules of working within a secure area.
The work will involve:
- Screening/monitoring visitors and vehicles into a secure area
- Checking to ensure vehicles are permitted to be within the secure area
- Arrange for vehicles to be moved/relocated that are not permitted
- This is a contract/temp role commencing immediately until mid December.
- Work hours are 7.30am - 3.30pm Monday to Friday.
About the Company:
Our client is a major provider of engineering services to the marine industry in NZ, operating at NZ’s largest dry dock on the North Shore. They undertake major projects for the refurbishment of Naval vessels and offer a range of short and long term project based contracts.
Skills + Experience:
For this role you will need to be:
- Fit and comfortable with being on your feet (there is a place for you to sit, but you will be moving around the area)
- Confident and capable of approaching contractors and staff to provide directions/instructions
- Diligent and reliable, with excellent communication skills
Pay + Benefits:
- Up to $28 per hour + overtime rate (based in skills and experience) + KiwiSaver + 8% Holiday Pay
