We are looking for a Credit Recoveries Specialist to join our support office based in Greenlane
This role will be a part of our Credit Recoveries Team – a specialist division of Instant Finance focused on the recovery of overdue debt.
About you:
- Good communication skills
- Minimum of five years in a credit or related role involving collections and advanced knowledge of credit control/recovery procedures in New Zealand.
- Experience in the finance industry sector
- Great negotiation skills
- Sound working knowledge of relevant legislation including Credit (Repossession) Act, CCCFA Act, PPSA Act.
- Understanding and use of Tracing, Repossession Warrant, Repossession Warning Notice, Post-Repossession Notice, Statement of Account After Sale
- High level of competency in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Must have NZ Residency or Work Permit
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake day to day collection activity on salvage and bad debt accounts, liaising with customers and branch management as required
- As part of the Credit Recovery team, ensure credit systems are adequate and robust.
- Work on and develop an allocated pool of Salvage Recovery accounts, to obtain regular payments from debtors, including settlement proposals, wage deductions, automatic and manual payments, and pursuit of any remaining security, considering legal action.
