Category Manager – Merchandise Team
Join our Team as a Category Manager. Are you looking for your next challenge? Are you ready to take your career to the next level? We have an incredible opportunity for a motivated and driven individual to join our team as a Category Manager at our Wiri, Manukau location. We're looking for individuals with a commercial mindset who are passionate about driving growth through Category Management principles.
This pivotal role reports to the National Category Manager and has massive potential to lead and further grow significant categories. You will fully own all product and range development to achieve long-term strategic growth. We have several roles available due to growth and an increase focus on Category development.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Build strategic relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders.
- Develop and implement Category plans to achieve business objectives.
- Develop and maintain pricing strategies that maximise the opportunity for category growth through research on market pricing.
- Develop and implement the marketing campaigns, sales tools, promotional material, and catalogues.
- Manage the full lifecycle for your Category.
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Proven buying, category management or product management experience in a Retail and B2B environment
- Holds a graduate degree.
- Is customer-focused.
- Has strong negotiation skills.
- Possesses exceptional collaboration and communication skills.
- Can build long-term sustainable partnerships.
- Has the ability to exercise initiative, judgment and discretion.
