Wellington City Council serves the residents and businesses of Wellington, and the Parking Services team play an important part by supporting Wellington City Council's long-term plan and vision around transport.
As a Parking Officer, you will promote compliance with city parking regulations and manage the turnover of parking space, while easing the safe movement of people and goods within Wellington City.
Our Parking Officers connect with the public on a regular basis and spend most of their time outdoors in and around the city. On any given day you can cover up to 20km of city streets and parking areas.

This is a permanent (up to 40 hours/week) role working on a rotating roster including late shifts and weekend shifts, to meet the needs of the City. Our rosters look like this: two weeks of starting at 7:00am, followed by two weeks of starting at 9:30am, followed by 2 weeks of starting at 11:00am. Out of a six-week cycle, you get three full weekends off.
Also, for the 2 weeks induction/ training period, we need people to commit to full time hours starting from 8:00am - 5:00pm.
You will need to at least hold a Restricted Driver's license to be considered.
