We are currently seeking a candidate for a part time, permanent role, working Monday through Friday between 24 and 32 hours per week. We expect that for the right candidate, this position will eventually offer a mix between working from home and working in the office. The primary purpose of this role is to assist our Payroll Manager in the processing and payment of our payroll and which includes weekly, fortnightly and monthly pays. Our current payroll is for approximately 400 staff. This role could be based in either of Airport Oaks in South Auckland or Hornby in Christchurch.

You will be able to/or you will already have:

  • We require a candidate with strong payroll and system/technology experience and a minimum of 2 years’ experience working with payroll in a NZ based business. 
  • Exposure to Data Pay, My Workplace and Success Factors would be ideal.
  • An in-depth knowledge of the application of NZ employment legislation as it affects payroll, especially the Holidays Act 2003 and the Wages Protection Act 1983.
  • An understanding of Time and Attendance Technology as it relates to payroll inputs.
  • Interpretation and application of Collective Agreements as they relate to payroll payments would also be ideal.
