Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role:

Lead and transform the way we plan and execute our logistics operations!

Leverage your strategic expertise to optimise resources, enhance efficiency, and drive the evolution of our logistics network. Reporting to the Head of Network Design and Planning, you will oversee network planning and resource management, striking the perfect balance between cost-effectiveness and achieving service targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Align resources across sortation, transport, and last-mile operations to meet demand forecasts.
  • Design and execute cost-efficient plans without compromising service quality.
  • Lead with Impact - manage and inspire a team of planning and optimisation specialists to deliver innovative solutions.
  • Develop forward-looking operational plans for the next 1-18 months, ensuring our network stays agile and efficient.
  • Partner with key teams to ensure our logistics network meets and exceeds expectations.

You will be operating as a strategic leader already, with a strong background in network capacity and resource planning. Focussed on balancing cost efficiency with high service standards, you will have experience in resource optimisation and bring a data-driven approach to forecasting and planning that ensures the network operates at its best. As a skilled team leader, you set clear direction and empower your team to deliver optimal network performance, carefully balancing resource allocation with service targets to maximize efficiency and meet organisational goals. Alongside the above, you'll couple this with;

  • Proven experience in network capacity planning and resource optimisation, with a focus on cost control and service excellence
  • Strong leadership skills, with a track record of guiding and motivating teams to achieve operational goals
  • Analytical mindset, with expertise in forecasting, capacity planning, and resource allocation for optimal network performance
  • Adept at identifying efficiencies and implementing improvements to ensure seamless, cost-effective operations
  • Committed to achieving strategic objectives while ensuring a positive impact on overall service delivery
