Job Description

Are you either an experienced tradesperson or qualified tradesperson and looking for an opportunity to work for Counties Manukau Health? This role is for you!


We have opportunities for Carpenter to join our team based at Middlemore Hospital. This is full time position working Monday to Friday. The ideal candidate will need to carry out a wide variety of carpentry work, repairs and minor alteration work to a high quality standard for all Counties Manukau Health buildings and lease properties.


You will have the ability to work autonomously to identify and provide solutions, while having the support of a full technical team and a multi- skilled trades force when required. The workshop is well equipped to undertake a wide variety work.



  • NZQA level 4 recognised building trade qualification
  • Current NZ full drivers licence
  • Good appreciation of general building services and NZ building practices

Desired but not mandatory:

  • 3 years post training experience
  • Broad range of maintenance experience
