Job Description

10-15 hours per week.


This is a great opportunity for a retired or semi-retired trade person wanting to do something regularly in the Pukehina area.

The property requiring Care is approximately 2 ha area with a 5 bedroom home with an additional cabin, located on a 170ha dry stock block at 15 Schrieber road, Pukehina.

The ideal applicant should be able to work independently with excellent attention to detail.

Successful candidate should have or be:

Relevant work experience and/or some form of relevant qualification.

Clean full driver’s license and less then 1 car accident in the 2 years where is was your fault.

Able to pass a clean drug test.

Able to pass a clean police / criminal record or explain their past.

Motivated and Energetic.

Fit and Healthy.

Able to meet most time targets.

Enjoys working on their own most of the time.

Respect our clients, team & sub-trades .

Able to provide references would be nice.

Photos of any work that you have done on your own in last few years would be handy.

Tools can be supplied or if you prefer to use your own, you can.


Some of the skills that maybe required by our Jack (or Jill) of all Trades:

Building framing, and painting various structures.

Troubleshoot, repairing broken things were posable.

Ordering and selecting materials, and preparing layouts.

Replace, install, repair or fix faulty locks and door handles etc.

Repair holes in walls, plaster and sand plaster board etc.

Mowing lawns, Line trimming, brush cutting, backpack (15kg) weed spraying and all other sorts of Gardening.

Painting and cutting in, (without getting paint everywhere)

Cutting materials, assembling and nailing, cutting and shaping parts.

Erecting framework or floorboards and verifying trueness of structures, nailing, roofing, fitting or repairing exterior wall cladding, doors and window frames etc

Assembling prepared wood to form structures and fittings ready to install, cutting wood joints.


Replace faulty power points, lights sockets, fuses, light bulbs and running wire etc.

Handle a wide range of carpentry jobs, including building and repairing kitchen cabinets or doors, constructing things, installing doors and frames, installing windows etc.


Putting Portacom buildings together. Pool and spa pool cleaning, checking and replacing pool chemicals.


Replace leaky taps and washers, replace or repairing leaky water pipes, run /installing water and waste pipes etc.


Pruning Fruit and other Trees.


Pest control.


Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures, assemble furniture, cabinets, shelves and other items and install them where designated.


Send photos to us of your work each day via your cell phone when connected to our wifi network on the property.


Any and all other types of handy man servicers that you or we can think of.
