Floor Manager | Fixed Term until November 2026 | Wellington Super Depot

  • Operational Floor Management role
  • Supporting our Wellington Super Depot
  • Provide frontline leadership to processing teams
  • Monday to Friday - 12.00 pm till 8.30 pm (with some flex required)

Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

Working closely with the Operations Manager, you'll provide frontline leadership to the Wellington Super Depot PM Processing team ensure they continue to achieve their KPI's around freight management and deliverables.  You'll continually review processes to ensure efficiencies are optimised and the automated sorter is being used to effectively. 

You'll do this by being on the processing floor regularly, ensuring that the agreed operational plans are in place and that productivity and service targets are being met, and ideally exceeded.

You'll combine this with  

  • Leading by example with Safety and Wellbeing; growing a culture that ensures a ‘Safety Always' principle in all aspects of day-to-day operations
  • People leadership functions including recruiting, rostering, payroll management, performance management, coaching and development, and co-ordination of training
  • Leading the processing team on the shift
  • Ensuring production plans are delivered/meeting the expected productivity and service targets

This role operates Monday to Friday ideally from 12.00 pm to 8.30 pm, however this role needs someone a who is flexible to meet the operational demands of the role.  

Mōu - About you

You will have a knack for managing people in conjunction with ensuring the smooth production. This is a role for operational folk, who enjoy planning, analytical thinking, along with strong people relationship management skills. Alongside the above, you'll couple this with

  • Previous operational experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
