Project Capability & Delivery Manager
Kōrero mō te tūranga – About the role
Projects big and small touch every corner of NZ Post, and not everyone leading them has “project manager” in their job title. That's where you come in.
As our Project Capability & Delivery Manager, you'll play a key role in lifting confidence, consistency, and delivery capability across the business. You'll support operational leaders who find themselves stepping into project delivery, coach experienced project managers to continually strengthen their practice, and take a pragmatic approach to selecting the right delivery model for the work at hand. While we're on an agile journey, a strong understanding of agile, waterfall, and hybrid approaches will be important as we evolve how we deliver change.
This role is about creating a Centre of Excellence for project management. From setting clear standards and practical tools, to rolling up your sleeves and leading the early stages of delivery, you'll make sure projects are set up for success and that our investment in change delivers real value.
You'll do that by:
Mōu - About you
You're the kind of person who can steady the ship and lift the sails at the same time. You'll be confident in your own delivery capability, being a seasoned professional, but your passion will be about helping others grow. You've built your career delivering complex projects in large organisations and now get just as much satisfaction from coaching others as you do from running a programme yourself.
You'll combine that with:
He Aha Te Pai - What you'll love about us!
We're passionate about our commitment to deliver the best for Aotearoa - to help businesses thrive, and to deliver what Kiwis care about. Our permanent employees enjoy a variety of benefits including:
