Product Manager | Auckland

Job Description

Product Manager

At NZ Post, we're all about connection; connecting Aotearoa to the world, and the world back to us. As international eCommerce grows at pace, we're evolving our products, services, and customer experience to meet those expectations. That's where you come in.

We're looking for an Product Manager who's curious, collaborative, and ready to learn. You'll work alongside teams across New Zealand and offshore, helping shape and improve the products that bring parcels into the country every day.

Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

In this role, you'll be right in the mix of our international business. You'll learn how products are created, evolved, launched, and supported, and you'll be hands-on at every stage. You'll work closely with Senior Product Managers, sales teams, service and supply chain, technology, offshore hubs, and customer teams, to help ensure our international products are useful, competitive, profitable, and easy for customers to engage with.

You'll do that by:

  • Owning and managing an international product portfolio, keeping everything moving and on track
  • Working closely with offshore teams and partners to deliver updates, improvements, and fixes
  • Leading meetings, workshops, and conversations that bring clarity, momentum, and action
  • Building strong relationships and influencing without authority to get priorities aligned and work delivered
  • Getting deep into how products and services really work so you can make informed decision
  • Spotting opportunities to improve customer experience and commercial performance across markets

Think of this as your chance to understand the full product lifecycle while making a real difference to how New Zealanders and international customers experience NZ Post.

Mōu - About you

You're a proactive, curious operator who knows how to get things done through great relationships, clear communication, and a healthy dose of perseverance. You're not afraid to dig into the detail, ask smart questions, and learn fast so you can confidently lead and influence across borders.

You'll combine that with:

  • Strong project or product management experience, with the ability to juggle moving parts
  • Confident working with offshore teams, international markets, or diverse stakeholder groups
  • Excellent communicator who can present, engage, and lead conversations with ease
  • Skilled at influencing and advocating for priorities when you rely on others to deliver
  • Quick to build trust and relationships, especially in complex or busy environments
  • Curious, hands-on, and motivated to understand products and services so you can lead effectively
