Inspection Services – Casual Position

IVS is seeking motivated individuals to join our Inspection Services team in a casual Inspector role. This position supports a wide range of operational areas, including the IVS Biosecurity Programme, vehicle border inspections, and the Multi‑Transitional Facility Programme.

About the Role

This is a casual, flexible position ideal for someone looking to pick up a few hours of work each week.

• Some weeks may involve only a few hours
• Other weeks may be busier depending on operational demand
• This flexibility allows plenty of time for work–life balance, rest, recovery, and personal commitments

You’ll be working across a variety of sites, engaging with clients, and contributing to the protection of New Zealand’s biosecurity.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a candidate who is: 

• Customer‑focused and able to build positive relationships with a range of clients
• Keen to contribute to protecting New Zealand’s biosecurity
• Adaptable, reliable, and able to work varying hours
• A strong communicator, comfortable liaising with different industries and stakeholders
• Mechanically experienced or knowledgeable (advantageous but not essential)
