Casual Class 2 Driver / Yard & Maintenance All-Rounder

We’re a small, locally owned, Christchurch based company looking for a reliable, practical all-rounder to join our team on a casual basis.

This role would suit someone who still enjoys being hands-on, driving trucks, operating machinery, and being part of a good team — but doesn’t want full-time hours.

About the Role
This is a casual position providing cover for holidays, sick leave, and busy seasonal periods. While we can’t guarantee regular weekly hours, there is opportunity for additional work during peak times.

The role is varied and includes:

·         Driving a Class 2 truck

·         Delivering and collecting portable toilets

·         Operating a small truck-mounted crane

·         Forklift operation (yard loading/unloading)

·         General vehicle maintenance and basic servicing

·         Yard duties and keeping equipment organised

·         Carrying out repairs and maintenance on units

We’re looking for someone who:

·         Holds a current Class 2 licence

·         Has experience operating small cranes

·         Has forklift experience (F endorsement preferred)

·         Is mechanically minded and confident with basic maintenance

·         Is practical, reliable, and self-motivated

·         Works well in a small team environment

·         Holds a Dangerous Goods endorsement, or is able to obtain one immediately upon starting (this is a requirement for the role)
