Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

At NZ Post, our Data and Technology teams enable the services Kiwis rely on every day. As Product Owner, you will lead a cross functional squad responsible for core platforms and enterprise technology that support our strategic goals.

Working closely with stakeholders, you will turn strategy into clear, prioritised work that delivers meaningful outcomes.  You will shape roadmaps, manage a transparent backlog, define user stories and keep your squad focused on the highest value delivery.

This role sits within our Salesforce ecosystem, working alongside another Product Owner and partnering with a wide network of business and technology stakeholders.  You'll bring a strong technical product ownership lens and thrive in complex, fast moving environments.

You'll do this by:

• Leading the squad through the full product lifecycle from discovery to delivery
• Owning and refining the product backlog aligned to roadmap and strategy
• Translating business priorities into clear, delivery ready epics and stories
• Driving agile delivery rhythms and maintaining healthy delivery flow
• Managing dependencies, risks and stakeholder alignment
• Using data and metrics to inform decisions and improve outcomes

You are a confident Product Owner who brings clarity, focus and momentum to delivery teams. You think in terms of value, outcomes and impact, and help others understand the why behind the work.

You are comfortable in technical environments and enjoy partnering with engineers, architects and platform specialists. You build trust quickly, navigate competing priorities with maturity and contribute positively to team culture.

You'll combine that with:

• Proven Product Owner experience, ideally on the Salesforce platform
• Experience in complex organisations working with multiple stakeholders
• Strong product mindset with focus on value, outcomes and clarity
• Confidence leading agile squads across Scrum or Kanban environments
• Ability to influence without authority and manage conflicting priorities
• High EQ, low ego and a collaborative, team first approach
