
Day of Operations Manager
Our national network relies on smart, practical schedules to keep freight moving efficiently across the country. It's where all the action happens - it's up to us to ensure our customers' mail and parcels get from A to B; on time and safely.
We are looking for a logistics/operations leader to lead real‑time, end‑to‑end operational performance of our network.
Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
This role is all about optimising the network to ensure reliability, safety, and service performance targets are met. You'll be the operational decision‑maker for the network each day, coordinating responses to disruptions, incidents, and emerging risks while maintaining seamless service delivery for customers and stakeholders.

You are someone who loves developing people, takes ownership and is comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders. You stay calm under pressure, have the confidence to make quick logical decisions, asking questions, challenging assumptions, and are confident speaking up when something does not look right. You are passionate about logistics, commercially aware, and able to bring clarity to complex situations.

Although standard hours are Mon - Fri, the nature of the business activities will require availability to react and respond to any significant events (service or incident related) on a 24/7 basis.
