Our casual roles cover leave for permanent Support Workers, providing a diverse range of experiences across our Wellington-based services (community mobile, respite, residential and recovery). Join us today and broaden your skillset!
In some services there may be the option for regular shifts for a fixed period of time.
This varied role could see you working on a variety of different tasks:
When working in a respite service you would support guests with medication, provide a listening ear, support on site activities, maintain a large home, cook, clean and host visiting clinical teams.
In our residential services you would be beside the supported person for tasks like appointments, shopping, cleaning and medication.
In our community services you would undertake home based support that includes supporting people with household tasks, attending appointments, grocery shopping taking medication and exercise from home.
In our community teams you would visit people in their own homes to support them with a home-based recovery daily living activity, including support with taking medication, meal planning and preparation, grocery shopping, gardening, household cleaning and exercise from home.
The hours of work are irregular and offered when available. We operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Casual employees can work across a range of services in three different areas of Wellington. (Miramar/Brooklyn/Central Wellington, Tawa/Porirua/Titahi Bay and Kapiti

You’ll be reporting to the Team Coach and joining our Pathways Wellington team who all have the common purpose to support people experiencing mental illness.
