Sales Leader (Waikato/Bay of Plenty - Full Time)

About the role:

You will lead, coach, and mentor a team of Account Managers across the Waikato/Bay of Plenty region, driving focus, motivation, and capability to deliver on key accountabilities, sharpen sales skills, and exceed budget targets, all while maintaining strong brand differentiation and managing an existing portfolio. Reporting directly to the Area Sales Manager, Upper North Island (Auckland-based), you’ll be part of a high-performing leadership team driving success across the wider region

Key responsibilities:

• Lead, coach, and mentor a team of Account Managers in the Waikato/Bay of Plenty region to achieve sales and margin targets.
• Put people at the forefront by fostering a positive, supportive team culture.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
• Contribute to strategic planning and support negotiations for major contracts and tenders.

About you:

• Proven experience in sales and/or direct industry involvement (Safety, Packaging, Engineering, or similar).
• Good leadership skills with a passion for coaching and developing others.
• Committed to compliance and driving best practice across the team.
• Strategic thinker with commercial acumen and a results-driven mindset.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build lasting customer relationships.
• Positive, professional, and team-oriented approach with attention to detail.
