Job Description

Property Manager - Projects & Acquisitions

  • Auckland based role
  • Fixed Term Project focused role until 30 June 2027
  • Mix of commercial leasing & fitouts

Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

Come and support our Retail Network Optimisation Project.  Things are changing in the NZ Post retail space.  Our changes are future focused and we are committed to continued accessibility of NZ Post services for customers across the country.

This fixed term role offers a great mix of both commercial leasing and Project management of fit outs from beginning to end.  It's an opportunity to be part of the rollout of our flagship stores across the upper North Island.

You'll be joining a team of property professionals, contributing to the success of our business by delivering property solutions which meet the needs of our evolving retail network and hardworking colleagues.

Responsible for delivering new sites in the North Island, you'll be working with our teams to scope requirements, negotiating agreements with developers and landlords, and overseeing the delivery of the developer/landlord's works and our fitout.

To note: There will be some overnight travel required across the North Island but scheduled in advance.

Mōu - About you

You'll ideally have strong Project Management (building fit outs) from within the commercial property industry and be comfortable with contracts and lease agreements.  You'll love working autonomously and be able to demonstrate strong decision-making skills and initiative.

You'll connect and collaborate across our business and work alongside our busy operational leaders in the retail space, so having the ability to build strong relationships through credibility and trust is vital.  Alongside the above, you'll couple this with:

  • Strong contract negotiation skills
  • Experience with delivering projects
  • Having a good understanding of spreadsheeting and basic financial analysis
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to be versatile and adaptable

You will also require a full, clean NZ drivers licence.
