Our Business Analysts play a pivotal role in shaping customer and employee experiences across one of NZ's most recognisable organisations. Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

You'll sit at the intersection of business and technology, helping teams deeply understand problems and design solutions that deliver genuine value.  Working closely with Product Owners, Project Managers, Architects and delivery teams, you'll lead analysis activities end-to-end - from uncovering the real need, through to ensuring solutions are fit-for-purpose and ready to deliver.

You'll achieve that by:

  • Partnering with a Product Owner and Project Manager to plan the analysis approach to suit the context
  • Collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders to elicit insights using the most effective techniques
  • Analysing and validating requirements, translating ideas into clear models, stories and artefacts
  • Working alongside Architects and delivery teams to explore, shape and refine solution options
  • Advocating for business analysis discipline and helping lift capability across the organisation

As a natural collaborator you'll enjoy working in complex, dynamic environments. You're comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders, delivery teams and technical specialists alike, and you bring people with you on the journey. 

You're motivated by understanding the why behind the work, and you care about delivering outcomes that make a tangible difference.

You will also bring:

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst in complex or enterprise environments
  • A continuous improvement mindset and pride in your craft
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills
  • Experience working within Agile delivery frameworks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Confidence operating across both business and technology contexts

On top of this, it would be great if you bring:

  • Exposure in Transport and Logistics or complex operational environments
  • IIBA CCBA certification or equivalent
