
Cyber Security Engineer

As a Cyber Security Engineer, you'll sit on the front line of NZ Post's cyber defence, helping protect the systems and information that keep Aotearoa connected. You'll design, implement and continuously improve security controls, ensuring our platforms remain resilient in an evolving threat landscape.
This is a varied role where you'll balance BAU improvements with strategic initiatives, working across a broad technology ecosystem. You'll collaborate closely with internal teams and partners, playing a key role in enhancing our security posture and embedding best practice across the business.

You're a hands-on Cyber Security Engineer who enjoys solving complex problems and working across a diverse technology landscape. You bring strong technical capability, a curious mindset, and the confidence to engage with a wide range of stakeholders to deliver practical, effective security outcomes.
You have a strong foundation in core internet and enterprise technologies, with the ability to deeply understand how systems communicate and where vulnerabilities may exist. Your expertise across Microsoft security and identity capabilities ensures you can effectively secure modern environments.
You're someone who takes ownership, communicates clearly, and stays calm under pressure. You're motivated to continuously improve, keeping up with evolving threats and finding better ways to protect systems and data.
