Mō te tūranga - About the role
This is a newly created position responsible for supporting the development and growth of PSC’s Gifts in Wills (Legacy Giving) programme.
This role is focused on connecting with donors/bequestors, improving collation of database information and developing sustainable relationships for future legacy acquisitions and donations.
Legacy Giving relies on building long standing and strong connections with our communities. This role will work collaboratively across fundraising, administration, and marketing functions, and will help deliver engagement initiatives, support brand awareness and lead activities that build a pipeline of legacy supporters.
Key responsibilities include:

Building and maintaining meaningful relationships with existing and potential legacy donors

Developing and implementing communication, and engagement initiatives

Identifying, researching, and nurturing potential legacy giving opportunities

Develop supporting collateral, donor communications, and promotional resources for PSC’s Legacy Giving programme

Maintaining accurate donor records, engagement activity, and relationship notes within PSC’s donor database system
This part time position will be 20 hours per week, some flexibility around days is possible. There will be some occasional travel to locations within the Lower North Island.
This is a unique role, so you may not have held a position like this before. However, you may have transferrable skills that allow you to quickly develop the ability to achieve results. So please keep reading on!
To be successful, you need a genuine interest in the not for profit sector and a passion for connecting with people and building relationships. You will need to be experienced at identifying and maximising opportunities to connect with people who share a common desire to contribute towards supporting others and making a difference.
You will be a confident and relationship-focused communicator who enjoys building genuine, lasting relationships that deliver mutual benefits. You are comfortable engaging in conversations with people about financial contributions and legacy giving. You will also be enthusiastic about encouraging others to support an organisation that makes a meaningful difference in people's lives.

Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with a wide range of people

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

A proactive and organised approach, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities

Confidence working independently while also collaborating effectively across teams
-
Experience working with databases and maintaining accurate records and reporting

The successful candidate will also hold a full driving licence and be willing to travel across the region as required.
