Touchdown Car Rentals & Flit Secure Car Parking – Christchurch

Touchdown Car Rentals and Flit Secure Car Parking are looking for a reliable, practical and friendly all-rounder to join our small Christchurch team over the busy summer period.

This could be a great role for someone who enjoys a workplace where no two days are quite the same, and where your experience, common sense and ability to work independently are valued.

What will you be doing?

You'll be involved across both Touchdown Car Rentals and Flit Secure Car Parking, so there's plenty of variety in the role.

Your day might include:

• Welcoming customers and providing warm, helpful customer service

• Completing vehicle rental pick-ups and returns

• Answering phone calls and assisting customers with their enquiries

• Grooming and preparing rental vehicles to a high standard

• Ensuring Flit customers receive a friendly and seamless service

• Moving and positioning vehicles safely around the yard

• Checking vehicles and helping ensure they are ready for the next customer

• Keeping the rental and parking areas tidy and well presented

• Pitching in wherever needed to keep the operation running smoothly

What we're looking for

We're a small team, so we're looking for someone who is dependable, capable and happy to take ownership of their work.

You will be someone who:

• Has excellent customer service skills and enjoys dealing with people

• Is reliable and takes pride in turning up and doing a great job

• Has good common sense and can work confidently without constant supervision

• Is happy to roll up their sleeves and get stuck into the practical side of the job

• Takes initiative and sees what needs doing

• Takes pride in presenting clean, well-maintained vehicles

• Is physically fit and comfortable with a role that involves being on your feet and moving vehicles

• Has a full NZ driver's licence

• Is comfortable working weekends as part of a roster

• Is available throughout the busy summer period

A little about the role

This is a fixed-term position from now through to the end of February 2027, with a minimum guarantee of 30 hours per week.

The role will suit someone who enjoys a steady, hands-on working environment, being part of a small team and having a genuine level of independence in their day.

We're particularly interested in people who bring life experience, reliability and a great attitude. You don't need to have worked in car rental before — we can teach you our systems and processes. What matters most is that you're friendly, practical, dependable and take pride in doing things well.
