For over 20 years, Dream Childcare has helped Kiwi families find quality childcare they can trust. As many of our longstanding families began seeking support for their ageing parents, expanding into eldercare was a natural next step.
Today, Dream Eldercare connects older New Zealanders with carefully matched Companions who help them continue living fulfilling lives in the comfort of their own homes.
And we’re excited to create more wonderful opportunities for over-50s looking for rewarding, flexible work that makes a real difference.
Our Companions provide practical help, friendship and companionship, supporting older Kiwis to remain independent and connected to their communities.
Everyday tasks may include:
● Preparing delicious, nutritious meals
● Helping with light household chores
● Accompanying clients to appointments
● Sharing hobbies, activities and conversation
● Enjoying walks, outings and trips into the community
Dream Eldercare has clients throughout New Zealand looking for caring, reliable Live-in Companions.
You’ll be matched with a client and live in their home, providing an agreed number of working hours, typically 30–45 hours per week. Outside your agreed working hours, your personal time is your own.
Live-in roles can offer an attractive combination of paid work, accommodation and meals, making them particularly appealing to people seeking a change of lifestyle, a new direction or a way to make better use of their resources while earning an income.
If you enjoy spending time with people, have a caring nature and want to do meaningful work, this could be a wonderful next chapter.
Keep an eye on the Seniors@Work website for upcoming Dream Eldercare Companion opportunities across New Zealand.
