We have a lovely opportunity for someone kind, capable, and experienced in supporting older people—especially those with early-onset dementia—to spend the summer in one of New Zealand’s most scenic coastal spots. Our client is a 91-year-young gentleman who’s looking for a live-in companion to make his days a little easier and a lot more enjoyable. Your role would include helping with things like grocery shopping, sharing meals, light household tasks, and—most importantly—offering great company and conversation. He’s an independent man who enjoys cooking (and eats well when someone’s around to remind him not to skip meals!). He shares his home with his wife, though she travels frequently to Auckland, so having someone around for support and companionship is important. A bit about him—he’s spent much of his life out on the water boating and fishing, and still loves watching motorsports and rugby.
