Job Description

We’re looking for a motivated and organised Technical Co‑ordinator to join our friendly Measurement and Calibration team (MCC) at Geotechnics.  Start date is slightly flexible being around 11 March through to 24th April. No previous industry experience is required, you just need to be friendly with a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, familiar with computer work and strong communication skills.

In this role, you’ll be at the centre of our day‑to‑day operations. You’ll work with customers, technicians, and internal teams helping to coordinate jobs, manage enquiries, and keep everything running smoothly. It’s a varied role that offers great exposure to how a professional technical business operates.

What you’ll be doing

  • Providing friendly and professional customer service to clients and colleagues
  • Answering phone calls and emails and responding to customer enquiries
  • Helping to book and coordinate jobs using our internal systems
  • Assisting with invoicing, quotes, and general administration
  • Sending out monthly service reminders
  • Supporting the wider Geotechnics and GeoSales teams with administration and phone cover

You don’t need previous experience,  we’ll provide training and support. What’s most important is your attitude, reliability and willingness to learn.

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • A positive, reliable, and professional approach to work
  • Strong organisation and time‑management skills
  • Confidence using computers and learning new systems
  • Attention to detail and the ability to stay calm when things get busy

Helpful but not essential:

  • Some customer service experience, either office, front line or hospitality
  • Basic knowledge office work/administration
  • Ability to lift up to 15 kg as part of the role
