Trade Sales Assistant - Powertool (Full Time - Christchurch)

It’s an exciting time to join NZ Safety Blackwoods! We are growing and looking for a Full Time Trade Sales Assistant (Powertools) to join our tight-knit team based in Christchurch Middleton!

The primary purpose of this role is to significantly grow and build the sales of the Powertools and Tools Category in the Christchurch Middleton Trade Centre.

Key Responsibilities:

·      Serve customers in the shop and by telephone including sales, orders and product enquiries.

• Maintain regular contact with current and potential customers to ensure customer needs are satisfied.
• Liaise with purchasing and warehouse staff to ensure customer requirements are met accurately and on time.
• Identify & target new business opportunities in specialist categories

·      Conduct customer site visits with Account Managers where specialist sales opportunities exist

• Ensure department stock takes are organized and all products are accurately counted and recorded.
• Maintain sales dockets and pricing details on a daily basis.
• Ensure all appropriate actions are taken to implement HSE policies, procedures and legislative requirements within Trade Centre

Our Ideal Candidate:

• Proven experience in a similar role within the retail, sales and/or trade sector
• Will have a solid knowledge of power tools products
• Enthusiastic, motivated with excellent communication skills
• Have a passion for customer service coupled with a ‘can do attitude’
• Will be a team player, show initiative and have the ability to multi-task
• Have good time management and thrive on working in a fast paced environment
