  • Six month fixed‑term opportunity based in Wellington (CBD)

Kōrero mō te tūranga – About the role

This is a unique opportunity to step into a key role supporting the transition of people administration and HR processes to a new delivery model. You'll work at the heart of a high profile transformation, helping design, document and embed processes while ensuring a smooth and successful handover.

Alongside this project focus, you'll also contribute to day‑to‑day advisory support, giving you broad exposure across People operations. It's a hands‑on role where you'll balance doing, designing, and enabling others to succeed.

You'll achieve this by:

  • Mapping, documenting and refining HR processes and workflows, including SOP development
  • Coordinating knowledge transfer, training and handover activities across teams and stakeholders
  • Acting as a key point of contact for queries and support across delivery teams
  • Partnering with stakeholders to embed new ways of working
  • Driving process improvements, automation opportunities and quality checks
  • Providing advisory and case support, including escalation management
  • Contributing to quality assurance, risk management and continuous improvement

Mōu - About you

You're someone who thrives in a fast‑moving environment and enjoys bringing structure to complexity. You're just as comfortable rolling up your sleeves to get the work done as you are stepping back to improve how things are done.

With a strong grounding in HR operations or shared services, you bring a pragmatic, solutions‑focused mindset and the confidence to work across teams, locations and levels. You communicate clearly, build trust quickly, and enjoy helping others learn and succeed.

You'll bring:

  • Proven experience in either HR operations or shared services environments
  • A natural ability to simplify complexity and improve how work gets done
  • Confidence in documenting processes and lifting ways of working
  • A solid understanding of HR systems, compliance and end‑to‑end workflows
  • The ability to build trusted relationships and communicate with clarity
