At The Hermitage Hotel, our Maintenance Team plays an essential role in ensuring guests enjoy a safe, comfortable, and memorable stay in one of New Zealand’s most breathtaking locations. With over 250 guest rooms, extensive staff accommodation, and a wide variety of facilities, there’s always meaningful work to be done.

We’d love to hear from You If You Have Experience In:
- Carpentry and building trades
- General building and property maintenance
- Electrical services, HVAC and refrigeration
- Plumbing and drainage
- Grounds and facilities upkeep
What You Could Be Doing
- Carrying out planned and preventative maintenance to keep guest rooms, staff housing, and facilities in excellent condition
- Diagnosing and resolving maintenance issues with practical, informed solutions
- Maintaining and servicing equipment, systems, and infrastructure
- Conducting safety checks and ensuring compliance standards are met
- Assisting across a range of maintenance tasks as needed
What We’re Looking For
- Solid, hands-on experience across maintenance, trades, or facilities
- Relevant qualifications or certifications (where applicable)
- A strong commitment to safe work practices
- Problem-solving ability and practical thinking
- A reliable, self-directed approach, balanced with teamwork
- Pride in doing a job well and maintaining high standards
- A current NZ Driver Licence (or equivalent)
